Meet The Team - Maddy
Maddy joined No.14 a year ago as our part-time Sales Assistant and, since then, has become a full-time member of our weekday team, and a much-loved part of the No.14 furniture!
We caught up with Maddy to chat about her wonderfully varied role, what’s currently sitting at the top of her No.14 wishlist, and her favourite foodie spot in Ampthill.
What’s your job at No.14?
I'm the Weekday Sales Assistant which consists of opening the shop, welcoming and serving customers, unboxing and receiving deliveries and putting all the stock out on the shelves ready for customers to purchase.
How long have you worked at No.14?
I’ve been at No.14 a year in October.
If you could take one thing home from the shop today, what would it be and why?
If I could take one thing home from the shop today it would definitely be one of the Adhock candles, specifically the Rhubarb & Rose, it smells amazing!
If you needed a gift at the last minute, what would be your go-to pick from No.14?
For a last minute gift I will always chose a Joma bracelet. They have bracelets with the loveliest messages for every occasion, whether's a birthday or you want someone to know you’re thinking of them. They are even better as they come gift wrapped in the cutest bags so you don’t even need to wrap them yourself.
Which other independent business in Ampthill do you always recommend, and what makes it so special?
If we are having a tasty weekend treat meal with my family, Eskabars is a great choice! I will always recommend them to other people as their burgers aren’t like any other others! They are delicious.
What are you most excited about at No.14 over the next few months?
Over the next few months I’m most excited for Christmas!! The lead up to Christmas is super exciting with all the festive stock coming in and Christmas songs playing in the shop whilst helping customers find the perfect gifts.
When you’re not at No.14, what do you love doing in your spare time?
In my spare time I will most probably be playing netball, at the gym or going out for a drink and a catchup with my friends.
