Probably one of the biggest characters at No.14, Lara is hard to miss! With a constant smile on her face and an infectious laugh, she brings plenty of energy wherever she goes. Lara joined us a few years ago and, when she’s home from university, you’ll often find her back behind the counter at No.14.

We caught up with Lara to find out what she’d love everyone to know about her, why she loves getting involved in jewellery buying, and what she gets up to when she’s not at the shop.

Next up is a member of Team No.14 who truly feels like part of the furniture… Callie!

Callie joined us two years ago as one of our weekend girls, and since heading off to university, you’ll spot her back at No.14 during the holidays. When she’s not on the shop floor, she’s also been getting stuck in behind the scenes, uploading products to our till system.

We’re making a few changes to the way our website works. Going forward, we’ll be focusing our online shop on a carefully selected collection of our core and best-selling brands, while putting even more of our time and energy into what we love most, our shop in the heart of Ampthill.

Maddy joined No.14 a year ago as our part-time Sales Assistant and, since then, has become a full-time member of our weekday team, and a much-loved part of the No.14 furniture!

We caught up with Maddy to chat about her wonderfully varied role, what’s currently sitting at the top of her No.14 wishlist, and her favourite foodie spot in Ampthill.

The cutest member of Team No.14 has to be Ebony, our much-loved shop dog.

Whether she's greeting customers at the door, supervising the team from a cosy corner, or making sure every visitor receives the attention they deserve, Ebony takes her role very seriously (especially if biscuits are involved!).

You might not spot Maisie on our socials very often, but that's because she's usually the one behind the camera. From dreaming up content ideas to filming, editing and writing, she's the person making sure No.14 stays connected with our wonderful customers across our marketing channels.

Fifteen years ago, Jo opened the doors to a tiny shop on Woburn Street in Ampthill, with little more than a passion for retail and herself behind the counter. Fast forward to today, and No.14 has grown into a thriving independent shop, a busy online store, and a fantastic team of 11.
